Hi, thanks for the roundup – you’ve included some really good plugins. I’ve just published a tutorial about how to use our Posts Table Pro plugin to create a WordPress job board. It’s really detailed and gives you everything you need to do know to create a complete job board. The search and filtering options are better than the plugins featured in this article as you can add extra data about each vacancy as well as search box and as many filters as you like, which helps people to find jobs more quickly and easily. I hope this is of interest to your readers!

I am looking for a wp-plugin (and theme) which is for a temporary job agency.
The agency is to decide which job is best match for an employee. Employers and employee are not to get in direct touch, as it is the agencies task to make the matches.
Please advice which is best for this. Doing multiple searches I only see job-board, jobboard, job boards and so on, but that is not what I have in mind.
The temp-workers are to be able to sign up, log in, submit CV/resume and photo. Employers are to be able to log in (maybe) and submit job descriptions.

Also, how can I best get a time-management system for submitting hours worked by temp-workers? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest reaching out to the developers of the Jobify theme or FreelanceEngine theme. Both of these are feature rich themes designed specifically for creating job boards, and it’s possible you could modify one (or both) of theme with a child theme so you as the agency can act as the intermediary between applicants/employers, collect time sheets and more.

These are some excellent job board plugins. We had tried almost all of them. However, they do not fit well as a job listing plugin for a corporate site or a one single company. This new plugin – WP Job Openings solves that issue.

It comes with some really powerful features. It’s very easy to set up and manage job listings and applications with WP Job Openings Plugin.

Jobs and Experts seems to be a retired plugin?

    • Kyla

You are correct – it looks like it was one of many plugins WPMU retired recently. We’ll be sure to update the list to include some newer/supported options soon!

I recently purchased the JobSearch WP Job Board plugin (#7 in your list). The limited online documentation seems to be out of date and no longer relevant. This plugin seems very powerful, but it’s way too complex to set up. It seems to be built for a particular theme, but I’m not using that theme. I also purchased an extra six months of support, but I’m not sure why I wasted the money.

    Nothing worth using imho

    Hello all,
I’m thinking on using number 2 on your list, as well as the addons. it seems very complete.
It’s not actually for a job page, but for a “scholarship list” I think it’s going to work .
Anyone with experience with that plugin?
    thanks,
    NP
