Uptime & Downtime
HostMonster’s data center is monitored 24/7 and they have a 99.9% uptime assurance. The data center has a UPS backup power supply and HostMonster provides an automatic backup system (which should help if accidental loss of data does occur). HostMonster also does their best to timely inform customers should any downtime occur for maintenance or other reasons. With all of this, there is little reason for you to stress about downtime.
Support
HostMonster provides an online Help Center through their website that houses a knowledge base, tutorials, user forums and “getting started” guides. Technical support is available 24/7 via email, telephone, live chat and even Twitter. HostMonster also provides access to their server status to help keep customers informed if downtime occurs.
Extras
HostMonster has a 30-day money back guarantee, but it has a few stipulations regarding when you cancel within those 30 days. If you cancel within 3 day you will receive a full refund for your hosting, but not for any additional services you may have purchased (SSL, backup, SEO, SiteLock, domain names and domain privacy). If you cancel between 3 and 30 days you will receive a refund of your payment less any domain name fees or Postini/DedIP fees.
