Fabric8ted is an girly blog WordPress theme designed by Studio press as a child theme for their popular Genesis Framework. This theme is perfect for girly blogs about everything from cupcakes to watercolors. The soft color palette is a visually pleasing way to write and share about your hobbies and interests whatever they may be.

The theme comes with four elegant color schemes for you to choose from (teal and peach, purple and yellow, pink and blue, green and peach). And the theme includes some great features like three page layouts and a landing page.

The landing page is a great feature you can utilize while working on your actual site, or to use for promoting specific products, events, or posts that you’ve written. The theme is also fully responsive, includes some great widgets, an awesome call to action button on the homepage (optional), and a very useful blog with delicate stitched meta data.

What We Like About Fabric8ted

We love the subtle textures and design features in the theme such as the watercolor texture in the footer, and the girly cursive font used for the headings. And we really love the Genesis Framework in general, since it provides users with tons of customization options and of course child themes. What We Think Could Be Improved

A few minor details appear unfinished. We think the excerpts on the homepage should have the “…” following the actual excerpt instead of being attached to the “read more” link. Another minute design choice we don’t love are the comments. They look fairly good, but the right side looks like they’ve been cut off. This was probably a design choice, but we’re just not huge fans of asymmetry in this instance. Otherwise Fabric8ted is a great girly blog option that you should be sure to checkout!
